The Role
Very enjoyable. Quite challenging and you get a new problem set every time.
In a short space of time, I have become an integral part of the team and this is appreciated by all my colluegues.
I have a regular 1:1 session with my supervisor and generally, all managers are very friendly and approachable.
VERY busy. Supporting a new product still in development so you find a lot of new problems which you have to fix.
A lot of resposibility. I was actualyl very surprised at just how much I was given. Really makes you feel the part.
Lots of goodd training courses. You pick up soft skills as you go along and importantly you gain in confidence when communicating,
The Company
We work hard and play harder. Always good bant.
Where I work we have over 20 placement students and so the company has a nice structured scheme.
I wa sent on numerous day-long training courses which I found very helpful. I feel the company could have not done too much more but my heavy workload didn't always leave me a lot of time to do online courses.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Not sure. If you want to pursue a career in this industry then although VERY appealing.
The Culture
20+ students. Most share houses. Great community.
It is ok. Not too cheap but not expensive.
Not THAT good. Nice town centre with good bars and pubs but no nightclubs although London is a 20-min train ride away.
There is mostly something going on.
