The Role
Very enjoyable.
Because I was working on a specific project, I didn't have a lot of interaction with my colleagues.
Excellent support, although sometimes meetings had to be pushed around due to schedule conflicts.
Perfect balance up until the last 2-3 days, where I had very little work to do.
I was the lead coder, and could make any improvements/changes/fixes I wanted. I was given an amazing amount of freedom.
I may not specifically go into the telecom industry, but coding on a large project such as this was invaluable, as was the interaction with team members that I needed to complete this project.
The Company
My coworkers were fun people, but it wasn't like there was a constant party atmosphere in the office.
I would have liked to know more about what I was doing before I started, but during the actual internship there was no ambiguity at all.
I was in charge of the entire project; there's not much more investing they could have done than that.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Definitely something I'll keep in mind.
The Culture
I was the only technical intern, so this is not applicable.
San Francisco can get a little pricey, but it was overall affordable.
I did not stay there at night, so I have no idea.
Plenty of things to do.
