  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Very enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • Because I was working on a specific project, I didn't have a lot of interaction with my colleagues.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • Excellent support, although sometimes meetings had to be pushed around due to schedule conflicts.

    • Perfect balance up until the last 2-3 days, where I had very little work to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was the lead coder, and could make any improvements/changes/fixes I wanted. I was given an amazing amount of freedom.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I may not specifically go into the telecom industry, but coding on a large project such as this was invaluable, as was the interaction with team members that I needed to complete this project.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • My coworkers were fun people, but it wasn't like there was a constant party atmosphere in the office.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • I would have liked to know more about what I was doing before I started, but during the actual internship there was no ambiguity at all.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I was in charge of the entire project; there's not much more investing they could have done than that.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • I was the only technical intern, so this is not applicable.

    • San Francisco can get a little pricey, but it was overall affordable.

    • I did not stay there at night, so I have no idea.
