The Role
Fantastic placement spent at Computacenter. I extended the length of this from 10 months to 13 months as I was taking so much away and learning a lot.
My colleagues and peers made me feel valued and gave me a considerable amount of responsibility and coaching which aided my development.
My managers helped me to settle in and gain the most value out of the 13 months. The took me to senior leadership meetings and gave me exposure to meetings/people I didn't expect to be or meet.
The responsibility of my day to day role grew over the time I was there and in no time at all I was doing the role of other members of the team. This kept me very busy but I was also given free reign to organise meetings with other departments within Computacenter where needed.
The responsibility of my day to day role grew over the time I was there and in no time at all I was doing the role of other members of the team.
The development, training and exposure I received helped my business acumen and aided me massively in my studies and now in my career.
The Company
It was a great atmosphere, busy environment and open door policy to senior management who were visible on a daily basis. This was apparent in both the London and Hatfield office.
The organisation and plan was great and the autonomy given to me also allowed me to venture to other areas of the business that wasnt planned.
Any training was available to me to enhance my development whilst I was at Computacenter.

The future employment was so appealing I am now back with Computacenter and really enjoying the graduate programme.
The Culture
There is a high number of placement students and graduates that are currently on the programme and those that have passed through. This builds a great community and social scene.
Comparing the salary to other programmes it was highly competitive. To live in London it is expensive but Computacenters salary gave me the best chance to ensure I could live comfortably.
London speaks for itself really. The office is based near Waterloo and Southwark tube so ideal to getting into central.
There were oppourtunities to get involved but if Im honest there weren't as many sports teams as hoping, however games were still organised regularly.
