  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It's a great placement especially apart from role related tasks, there are a lot of different education and events so I will be able to learn beyond the area of my role.

  • I am doing a role replacing a regular employee so I feel valued by my colleagues.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • When ever I need support, my managers and colleagues are always there to help. All we need to do is to ask. We students also have a Early Professional Manager who look after our non-task related matters and our personal development.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There are a lot of meetings and it take up at least half of my time. On top of that, I still have many reports and ad hoc tasks.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I'm given a project to lead with an experienced Project Manager mentoring me during the process.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Building confidence to speak up in a team definitely help in future group works.

  • Friendly yet professional environment.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement scheme is very well structured. Apart from our Task Manager, the Early Professional Manager is under the Placement Scheme to look after our personal development and non-task related matters. Regular formal reviews are also organised under the Placement Scheme.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Apart from the induction, we received a lot of education throughout the placement year: Career Talks, Roundtables, workshops, online education portal, forum, shadowing, and a lot more!

  • Always different opportunities provided within the company to keep us fresh.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We are close to one-another. Most of us are having lunch together in the canteen everyday. Students living in the same area always go out together after work.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Affordable costs.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The office is based in a rather small city with shops closing quite early. But easy access to larger neighbour cities with twenty minutes train for socialising and Nightlife.

  • A lot of non-task related events.
