The Role
Very enjoyable overall. Working with great people that provide a huge range of opportunities.
I found myself getting stuck into important tasks very quickly. Colleagues trusted me to work on client tasks and valued my input on projects.
Plenty of support is available as interns have both Task managers and Foundation managers who can both provide help across a range of topics. Beyond management people throughout the company are always willing to help
Fluctuated throughout the year with some times far busier than others but never left feeling bored with nothing to do.
Plenty. I was trusted to complete tasks without being overly micromanaged and in areas I possessed more knowledge I was able to take on appropriate responsibility
Developed a variety of hugely valuable skills. With many training and volunteering opportunities available internally you can always develop new and existing skills across many areas.
The Company
Very friendly, people are always willing to help. However quite separated between departments.
Quite well organised, but as interns are administered through one department (not necessarily the one you work for) there can be some issues.
Loads of training available both in my department and across IBM as a whole.

Working from home
Hopeful. It's been great to work for IBM and I'd like to return in future.
The Culture
There weren't many interns regularly in my office, that being said I was always welcome for after work drinks with my colleagues
It was central London so expensive. I commuted from outside of London which was slightly cheaper but not much fun
Plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants to visit.
Many opportunities available formally through the IBM Club and informally
