The Role
I have had several internships at i2i, and always return as I love the work environment, the people, and the responsibility and opportunities you get even on short placements
I was always given useful jobs to do so i saw my own contribution valued and was able to help my colleagues by taking over some of their work load
they always have weekly catch ups with you to make sure you are on track (or whenever you want to sit down for a quick chat). you are invited to all relevant meetings for more information on the general event you are working on and this helps you feel involved from day 1
busy but not overly so
a lot. I was given my own project to manage and research, and gave a presentation on all my findings at the end of my placement
i study a media related degree with PR and Communications management. it gave me a better/more realistic insight of what we were learning the theory of and has helped me understand my course and the working environment better
The Company
the general atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, they organise a lot of social events (almost one a week) all of which are free to attend with food and drink so you quickly get to know more people than just the ones you work with on a daily basis.
very well organised. Even if they are arranged very last minute, the pffice is very well run and if any problems do occur (has never happened in my experience) they have multiple teams so someone can always help you out and sort everything
i was able to attend one of the events in berlin on my first internship here. i am always able to request time with my line manager if i have any concerns or questions, i was invited to all meetings and from your first day at i2i yuo receive all the same equipment that your colleagues have (laptop, phone, email, keycard etc)

Working from home
I have already been offered a permanent position at the company as well as the offer to return for internships whenever i wish (an offer i have already taken advantage of). I am still studying but can see myself working here permanently in the future
The Culture
all colleagues are lovely, because of the high amount of socials and different activities that the firms organises and offers to its employees you quickly get to know the office and it is a very welcoming environment. There are many international colleagues which makes a huge positive difference in my opinion
there are free beverages available in the office and cheap vending machines filled with snacks. the surrounding area (paddington central) is priced like most london areas. A local bar does 2 for 1 happy hour for after work drinks. Pret, Itsu, poncho and other fast lunch places mean you will always be able to get a lunch for under £5. good public transport connections mean you can travel with bus tube or even boris bikes which can be parked near by
the events at the office often go into the evening giving you the chance to go out with your work colleagues and friends. there are a few bars nearby which are always busy after work especially on thursdays and most of them have good happy hour drinks deals.
YES! plenty. there is one activity a week whether it is free yoga sessions every tuesday which is available to all or seasonal social activities organised by the company's social team. there are even sports teams organised by co workers in the office such as a running club/ netball club/ football club etc
