The Role
It is a great place to do an internship. This year we are 10 interns so we have a great exposure. People you meet remember you and you can actually go and speak to them whenever you want.
People on the desk are really friendly, they even invited me to events with clients.
On my desk, you can easily go and speak to the head of desk, for any reason. People are really open.
Since the internship occurs during the summer, the activity is logically slower since lots of market participants are on holidays. But still, I am always occupied with a task withoiut being overwhelmed.
A few assignments I had to do were tools that the team would use so it is quite a responsibility to make sure that everything is perfect.
The insight provided during 2 months is great. The initial training is very useful. Then you discover several desks and get to understand how an investment bank works.
The Company
On the trading floor there is always something going on. There is a very busy atmosphere here, which is very motivating
The HR do a great work. Everything is perfectly planned and there are a lot of events organised to be able to network.
First there is a training during the first week where you learn a lot. Then during the internship there are Lunch and Learn sessions that allows you to learn about other desks, other products. You learn all the time in here
Company Parties/Events
Based on last year figures, once you are in the summer internship, you have a lot of chances to get a graduate after.
The Culture
Everybody gets along very well here
The area can be expensive but there are a few spots very cheap. And there is always the company's deli which is very good and very cheap.
Lots of bars full of people after work
We went to a CSR day in the woods. It was very interesting and a lot of fun
