About You
I enjoyed the project we had to do during the work experience week. Although it was difficult and stressful at times I learned a few skills that I may not have otherwise. For instance, I learned PHP code basically from scratch.
As a tech student, it seemed like tech was really valued in Citi. I felt the employees of Citi wanted to give us the best experience possible and they went out of their way to do things for us when they didnt have to. For instance, coming to talk to us about their experience of Citi, helping us with our projects and answering any questions we had for them.
We received a lot of support during the insight, particularly during the project from members of staff.
The skills I have learned will help me in my studies as well as beyond that. For instance, Sarah gave us information on how to make a useful CV, and what to include, as well as what not to include.
The Company
It was very well structured. Our day was planned out from 9:30-4:30
The atmosphere was good, everyone seemed to try and give us the best experience of Citi.
We didnt get any explicit training. But as the scheme was only for 4 days it was understandable why we didnt have much training.
It helped me get an insight of the different roles inside Citi and the different roles available for my degree.
The culture inside Citi was evident since day 1. The culture was very relaxed and friendly, with one of the main aspects being teamwork.
Everything Else
We received a presentation about all activities Citi had for employees outside of work.
Yes, as I feel it was a valuable experience.
