About You
Enjoyed it very much. The staff at Citi are so helpful in giving students an insight as to what it's like to work there. They also go out of their way to make you feel welcome! Informative presentations also on the different roles within the company.
Everyone made me feel so welcome and really went out of their way to ensure I was having the best experience.
A lot of guidance was provided when needed. Independent work was also required which helped me learn myself, but any time I needed assistance there was always someone there to help.
A lot I currently study IT and I learnt the basics of two new coding languages whilst being at Citi and how they're applied in the world of work.
The Company
Well structured as there was a schedule for the week however we were given this on the second day.
Friendly, cool atmosphere would love to work there!
Due to the short period of time i was with Citi training was not provided, however they were very helpful and did help me to learn new skills such as new coding language and some business presentation skills, how to work effectively in a team and how to answer interview questions in the best way.
Gave me a good insight as we work shadowed different roles within the company to see what tasks they carry out on a day to day basis. We were also given different presentations from different people from different levels in the company including senior management levels and placement students and just graduated students.
The company culture was easy identifiable, every employee loves their job and who they work for. It was very relaxing atmosphere as everyone in each team within the company knew exactly their role and what was expected of them.
The content provided helped me to decide on my future career as i was given the opportunity to ask different members of staff questions about their job roles and how much they enjoyed or didn't enjoy doing different aspects of the job, therefore i was able to evaluate myself wether or not i want to move into this industry by the end of my degree.
Everything Else
I was not paid however lunch was provided for me each day, it would have been good if i was reimbursed expenses as i had to travel via train each day which cost me just under £8.00.
Yes, there were a lot of opportunities in terms of networking and meeting other employees of the company. We had drop in sessions were people from different roles visited us and gave us a talk on their role and what they do each day. We also got a chance to work shadow with people and ask questions.
Very good, i met a lot of knew people.
