About You
The programme allowed for an insight into all the different areas within the bank. The presentations were engaging and interactive.
I felt very valued, considering I have little experience within the industry everyone was very welcoming and willing to pass on their expertise.
Everyone I spoke to was willing to offer guidance and support, whether it be answering questions on the industry or giving advice on the application process, I found all the information given to be extremely useful and beneficial.
From studying Economics I've found that my time at UBS has enlightened me on how to apply my knowledge to real life situations. It has also expanded my understanding of the financial system and the instruments it incorporates.
The Company
The insight was very well structured, within the short time period of the week I was able to gain an insight into the many different divisions that make up UBS. However, I feel the only downside was that we had to choose an area to work shadow within before attending the programme, this limited my ability to find which area best suited me.
I can't fault the atmosphere at UBS. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and supportive. The presentations were engaging and interesting.
The firm invested a lot of time in advising us on the application process as well as helping us develop our skill set for our future careers. Through interactive games, workshops and group presentations they allowed us to learn from others as well as push ourselves to achieve potential.
They placed significant focus on the daily routine of an individual within different areas of UBS. From work shadowing a division, we gained a valuable insight into the normal working day within UBS.
The insight immersed me within the company culture, the people I spoke to all seemed to reflect common qualities.
It was extremely valuable. From the workshops and presentations each area produced, as well as networking at lunch, I was able to find an area that suited my skill set and personality which I may not have discovered if I hadn't attended the insight at UBS
Everything Else
Travel is reimbursed Breakfast, Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the programme.
Yes, I networked on several occasions after events as well as attending a networking lunch.
They were both very good. The social event was a very good idea as it allowed me to get to know my fellow peers which I feel enhanced my experience.
Yes, UBS offers many opportunities such as volunteering in schools etc.
Definitely. From my experience UBS is an excellent company to work for. They have developed my knowledge and skills throughout the insight.
