The Role
Very rewarding internship, providing me with excellent customer facing experience during my first round internship, and a unique insight into the decision making and considerations in strategy re-structuring during my second year
Incredibly friendly, appreciative staff, both in branch and in Head Office
Frequent if not daily meetings with direct line managers, and good support provided by program co-ordinators and HR
Varied day to day, but on the whole busy with a wide variety of jobs
As much responsibility that could be given to an intern, especially during my branch placement. As interns, we became the bank's face to the customer, making us just as influential in maintaining customer confidence in the Bank and the Bank's brand and image as employees who have been there for many years
Has helped put business and economic theory into context through observation of real life scenario's
The Company
Lively and friendly during a testing time
Good support, very good structure to the internship program
Man-hours were invested in training and supervision of us, and money was spent on networking events
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The Culture
A great group, but not as many opportunities to socialise as I would have liked due to the geographical spread of inters about the country
London living is very expensive! However, extra living allowances were available for interns working in London
I worked hard during my second internship in particular, and London isn't the most accessible city if you don't live there/already know friends
