About You
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. In general the insight programme gave a very thorough overview of all the business areas.
There was a good balance between feeling valued and feeling informed and pushed to do better.
Any questions were answered.
Although there were many practical elements to the week, I would have liked to have learned some more technical skills.
The Company
We were given a detailed itinerary at the start and the recruitment team made the flow to and from each activity seamless.
Everyone was enthusiastic and keen.
Plenty of training in soft skills but whilst technical information was abundant, I don't feel that I developed any technical skills during the week.
I don't think you can ever fully understand having a full time role anywhere until you've experienced it for yourself, but the candid nature of the employees gave me a very clear picture.
From what I've seen, whilst it's still a competitive environment where employees are pushed to achieve their potential, it's also incredibly supportive.
It gave me plenty of food for thought.
Everything Else
Reimbursed full travel costs, my hotel was paid for and breakfast and lunched were supplied on a daily basis.
Every day we met a wide range of employees.
They varied from an easy-going networking lunch to a speed networking session.
We had a presentation about diversity and the various networks and clubs within UBS.
It gives a thorough picture of what life would be like were you to choose this career path.
