The Role
It is certainly a challenging experience but on the whole it was very enjoyable. It is a very positive experience and the HR team make sure that you gain as much as possible from your time there. You are encouraged to learn as much as possible about any business area you are interested in and are encouraged to get as much exposure to different teams as possible.
Everyone was very supportive. My team gave me tasks which added real value to the business and I recieved alot of good feedback from the colleagues.
During the first week you set out your business aims and objectives and my team worked hard to make sure I was able to experience any area of the business I was interested in.
You are as busy as you want to be; also alot of your day is taken up with meetings.
The job is complex and intense so don't expect responsibility from day one, but my team made sure I was given tasks which had a real impact on the teams performance.
It is an invaluable experience and will assist you in any future job or studies.
The Company
Professional but relaxed atmosphere. Most interns developed very positive relationships during their placement.
There is a good mix of working within your set team and intern-specific training events. You get through alot in 8 weeks but you never feel overwhelmed.
You recieve training in proffessional skills and presentations.

Its London and Canary Wharf so expect it to be expensive.

Lots of intern social events such as nights out and dragon boat racing. We also particapted in a community project.
