About You
It really was enjoyable and informative, I found it a little slow at times when the presentation perhaps got too much into detail into areas I was not too keen on but on the other hand I was glad they did when the topic was of interest so overall I was really happy
I really was treated with respect and directors and managers and people in very high positions in the firm never looked down on us, rather they were really collaborative and helpful. Their expert advice has been fundamental in grasping some details about the company and I really felt valued by their contributions and how they treated me with respect
We really were followed and helped throughout the week, the guidance was impeccable. The campus recruiters were fabulous in organising all sorts of events for us and followed us throughout the week giving us plenty of occasions to network, learn, ask questions, and in general make the most of this wonderful experience.
I learnt that I really like the firm and from what I observed that perhaps it may not be the time for me to join yet but rather get some experience elsewhere and then move in, nevertheless I got a lot of insights into the finance world and learnt it could be an area of future interest
The Company
Time really flew by but the week was nevertheless very well structured with rarely time spent in waste but rather always exploited at its best. There were plenty of networking sessions as well as keynotes with speakers and presentations and speeches and all sorts of events that really helped and showed how well prepared the week was.
The atmosphere was really relaxed giving everyone a chance to shine without too much pressure or stress on their shoulders. It was a really enjoyable experience with a calm and relaxes atmosphere that made it a very pleasant week not only interesting and informative but also enjoyable and in which I made plenty of new friends
There was a significant time effort in allowing me to develop and personal training, so I would say the investment from the firm was really impressing. I definitely feel comfortable in saying that i received a thorough help so the company really did put a lot of money and really did help a lot in allowing me to develop a broad skillset of transferrable skills
The corporate culture was really impressive and I had a chance to better understand it by spending a lot of quality time with senior members of the firms, ranging form managing director to chief officers but also a lot of graduate role position people as well as recruitment officers. In general spending time in the firm proved helpful in better understanding the environment
Everything Else
I was more than adequately reimbursed for this experience as the firm paid for me five days in a very nice hotel with a lot of facilities like a jacuzzy and gym and pool. I was also paid the travel to and from their office, and most of the meals were paid with really good buffets and night networking with drinks and quiz and pubs
There were plenty of those and they really allowed everyone to socialise and network. Such opportunities allowed everyone to socialise both in terms of peers in the spring week but also members of the firm from whom I got very insightful comments and tips and learnt a lot about the firm.
I would definitely recommend this experience to a lot of friends because it was hands down one of the best weeks in a long time.At times it felt like a vacation for how enjoyable and relaxed the environment was, but also very stressful and insightful were present giving a very nice balance between working for and enjoying the company
