About You
I enjoyed it very much. It allowed me to experience how a global law practice operates.
I felt highly valued - the employees of the firm kept checking in with me to see how I was doing and were always available to answer any enquiries.
The trainers and other associates were absolutely fantastic - they would take the time to explain the nature of each transaction and the complex issues that arose.
The placement helped me to transfer my legal knowledge and skills from the classroom to the wider commercial world.
The Company
The Graduate Recruitment team had a very structured timetable put into place.
Very friendly and collegiate. An excellent place to work.
The firm invested quite a lot in us, they assigned a trainer and a buddy to each of us to help us with our learning and give us an insight into the work that the firm does. They were also very open in terms of giving us advice for our future careers.
The culture of the firm really shone through - employees of the firm at all levels are very friendly and happy to help. A lot of firms talk about their culture and try their best to advertise it to future employees, but I personally think it's quite difficult to understand it unless you experience it first-hand.
Everything Else
I was paid very generously.
Yes, there were many social events and opportunities to interact with trainees and other senior employees of the firm. This was conducted in both formal (talks, presentations meetings) and informal (dinners, table tennis tournaments) settings.
Yes, we were well-informed about the many social opportunities and sports club within the firm, as well as the pro bono work that the firm engages in.
Yes!
