The Role
Google is a fantastic company to work for. All the stories you hear about the offices are true ;)
My team were extremely friendly towards me and were always keen to help.
I was very fortunate in having a manager who was genuinely interested in how I progressed. We had weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss how things were going.
Google excels in this area. I strongly believe that they offer one of the best work-life balances you'll find anywhere.
I was working along side some of the senior people right from the start. As long as you're willing to immerse yourself, seniority (or lack thereof) is not an issue.
There are plenty of educational resources exclusive to Googlers.
The Company
Very relaxed office atmosphere.
The internship does not have a rigid structure. Depending on what you like this can be a good or bad thing.
As I mentioned before there isn't a rigid structure to the internship; It's really up to you to make the most of your time there.

Working from home
They're a great company to work for - very meritocratic.
The Culture
There weren't many official intern events but the general relaxed office atmosphere meant that you got to know your colleagues very well.
London is expensive.
It's London!
Plenty, more than you'd have time for.
