About You
I enjoyed myself as every employee I met was approachable. Spring week introduced us to a range of activities while the pace kept us constantly interested.
I felt that everyone's input was important and respected. All questions were met professionally and at the same time honestly.
Every mentor that I faced was willing to help and answer various questions, making sure that we understand how their workspace functions, what they produce and how it is essential to the bank. And of course give us tips for the interview.
The information provided improved my knowledge of how the technology office works within a bank and helped me realise that I wish to be part of this environment.
The Company
All types of activities (work buddy, presentations and games) were well thought out. The most impactful for me was the communication with my work buddy. The Woods did not provide a comfortable vensue but this is a minor remark.
Participants were friendly and open-minded. The employees we were introduced to were honest and provided us with helpful insight.
The company was generous in terms of funding and staff. We met many infiential people that shared their time and knowledge with us.
Work shadowing gave us considerable insight into how the work flow is organised. We were introduced to interns as well and heard about theit first hand experience.
Employees were open to discuss the good and bad of working in JP Morgan. We were given lots of examples on company policies through games as well.
I left with a clear idea whether I would like to pursue a career in JP Morgan.
Everything Else
Travel reimbursements were adequate while the accommodation arrangements were comfortable and enjoyable.
Every event provided us with such opportunities.
Lots of time was given to us so we can meet the other participants and get to know each other. The bowling event was pleasant for me and provided a relaxing mid-week experience.
My buddie told us a out the pro bono work hours that are available for working on tech solutions that benefit people in need.
Overall, Spring week was educational and enjoyable. I cannot think of any reason I would not recommend it.
