The Role
I really enjoyed socialising with the other interns and graduates in the company. The work was enjoyable and I appreciated being set real tasks from day one.
I got on well with everyone in the company, they were all very friendly, helpful and approachable and treated me as a proper member of the company, not just a young intern.
I was given a lot of support and guidance by my manager when I needed it, however they did expect us to get on with the work we were set, which was a good experience of a real job.
There were always tasks to complete and deadlines to meet, however I never felt rushed and in a panic to finish, there was always time for office laughs and I could work at a steady pace.
The work I was set was real work that was very beneficial to the company.
I further developed my programming skills which will definitely assist me in my studies, plus the core consultancy skills I picked up can be applied to any job I take in the future.
The Company
Of course we all had work to get done, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and always people joking having a laugh, especially at lunch times!
There were a few problems at the start, with getting our project set up but once those were sorted every thing else was well thought through.
The company got us to set objectives at the beginning of the internship and supported us in meeting them, and we were given the opportunity to do many training courses.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Have not yet been told if I have a job with them but things seem very promising, for both me and most of the other interns
The Culture
There was never a Friday night without after work drinks and they put on several graduate/intern social events throughout the 10weeks I was there.
London prices so not great but many social events where paid for by the company.
You don't get much better than central London!
There are many sports/social clubs available to join. My favourite being the Film club.
