About You
I really enjoyed my insight week at BAML because I met lots of great students with similar career aspirations who I could relate to. I didn't know much about the bank but I loved the culture of diversity and it was such a friendly environment.
The HR team as well as the other BAML employees made us feel and home and they always let us know that we could ask questions so they made us feel like part of the firm.
We were given a lot of support, especially during the assessment centre that we did for the penultimate year internship.
My skills definitely developed during the week, in particular my confidence with networking, presentation skills and note-taking skills!
The Company
Well-structured but maybe one too many networking events, it was well organised so that a lot of different tasks and activities were packed into 5 days.
The general atmosphere was friendly and energetic because the group of students was so diverse, coming from many countries and universities.
It felt like a very personal insight week even though there were 100 of us.
It gave us a chance to live the banking life and spend long hours in the office, but I would have liked to shadow more if it wasn't for data protection rules.
Very well, love BAML.
Useful because I could compare my divisional choices and select which one I preferred. However the insight didn't include some divisions like Investment Management which I would have liked.
Everything Else
Very insightful, the dinner was th best part because the bankers were more comfortable in that environment.
