About You
I can only say good things about the Spring Week into Technology. It was fun and engaging, and I learned a lot about the company. I enjoyed it very much and I would recommend it to anyone interested in joining J.P.Morgan. The people are amazing and the recruitment process was splendid.
There was not a time when I did not feel valued. All the events that were organized during the week - the networking with seniors and graduates, the team-building activities, the small lectures and exercises that we had - I could feel that everything was prepared in such a way, so that I feel welcomed.
People were constantly around looking for ways to help you and make your stay in the company as enjoyable as possible. Anytime I had a question, or felt unsure about something, there was always someone I could ask for guidance and help. Everyone was forthcoming and at no moment did I feel like there was no one to turn to.
There was a particular focus on team-building events, which definitely pointed out points for development in my team-working skills. I am more aware of how work is being done at the company, and I have objectives for personal development for the time ahead of me. This will greatly benefit me in my university studies, where a lot of group projects are yet to come, as well as in my future career.
The Company
The structure was really good. Everything was planned out well and things generally went according to plan. The events organized were engaging, but there was always time for breaks in between. I did not feel stressed out and enjoyed the flow of events during the week. The events themselves were very well organized and enjoyable.
The atmosphere was amazing. It was at the same time competitive, entertaining and relaxing. At no point did I feel like my every step was evaluated, so I could enjoy the events as much as possible. Competitive, because a lot of the people in the group were competitive by nature, so every competitive event was intense and engaging.
Everything that I did in the spring week had a purpose of showing me what work at the company is like. Events were aiming to develop my team-working and communicational skills, and I always felt like people there cared about me and my development.
There were work shadowing sessions organized, which played a great role in showing me the work processes in the company, the way people interacted and spent their time. The networking events with graduates currently employed by J.P.Morgan introduced me to a lot of people who shared their experiences and responsibilities within the company, which provided a great insight into what an eventual full time role within the company would mean.
The insight proved great in showing me the way people in the company were expected to work, their day-to-day activities and their communication with their colleagues and seniors. I saw that when people did their job well and responsibly, this was noticed and they were rewarded. The company’s culture promoted a healthy work-life balance and good communication within the teams.
Incredibly valuable. Showed me the work done in the office and sparked my further interest in the company.
Everything Else
I live in the city the event was held, so there was no need for any reimbursement.
Yes, there were, and they were splendid. I had the chance to network with people in managerial and executive positions, as well as with people who were doing an internship, or had a graduate role within the company. The events were very well organized and I did not feel pressured or evaluated at any time. All the people that I met were forthcoming and nice.
Amazing. All the people were great and forthcoming. I do not know if they hand picked the people that we were supposed to meat, but everyone proved to be an amazing individual.
In the networking events, I got to speak to numerous graduates, who all share what they like to do outside of work and that the work-life balance in the company is more that great. They were all happy with their time in and out of the company and shared with me their hobbies and how they like to get together with friends after work.
Definitely. It is full of great opportunities and is organized responsibly and thoughtfully. All the people are amazing and contribute to the good impression of the firm. The events are engaging and entertaining, and provide you with a lot of insight into what the company does and how it does it. It is a rewarding week filled with great experiences.
