About You
It was incredibly enjoyable, not only a lovely group of colleagues, but also incredibly interesting work.
Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to say hello to me when I arrived as well as constantly stopping by for chats just simply to get to know me.
I received some great guidance, but was also allowed enough room to work myself and get a real taste for what legal work is like.
I don't think there's a part of my degree that won't be improved due to my week. It gives me the experience to put my work into a real-life format but also advanced my analytical and research skills.
The Company
We were allowed a lot of time to work within our sectors, but also had group work and other activities, which made the experience more enjoyable & realistic.
Fantastic; every day people were smiling and laughing, even when discussing serious matters.
Although they invested little money (though impossible anyway due to the time restriction), they invested a lot of time and effort.
It helped me realise how much time organisation & determination is necessary for working within any business and firm. Also, the type of work is completely different to what I thought it would be from my academic background.
The company culture matches exactly what I read throughout my research. Throughout the work experience their values were constantly mentioned and emphasised.
I still have some decisions to make, from a personal perspective, but this past week has definitely helped me realise what it would be like to work within a firm.
Everything Else
We were able to talk to everybody within our departments and our companies whenever we liked, as well as planned social occasions that allowed us to discuss more general topics and get to know people personally.

Yes; they were very clear throughout the induction which "outside of work" activities there were, as well as colleagues inviting us to join them throughout the week.
Yes, I think for "want-to-be-lawyers" not to even apply is idiotic, as I feel I have learnt more throughout this past week then I have in a year of a Law Degree.
