About You
A lot. It is an exhausting yet extremely rewarding experience that I would recommend to anybody thinking of joining J.P. Morgan full-time at some point.
A huge deal. J.P. Morgan invests so much in it's graduate schemes – and you can tell straight away. We were given a lot of attention by both junior and senior bankers and they were geniuinely interested in getting to know the class.
We were able to raise any issues to both recruiters and members of the business who were constantly available throughout.
Didn't receive directly applicable skills towards my degree (economics) but I did gain real, tangible skills that will most definitely be useful along my career. These were presentation skills and technical knowledge as well as a
The Company
A well-rounded programme was followed to the millisecond.
I did not find it cut throat at all like some people might have imagined. Yes, obviously there was a degree of healthy competition but candidates were extremely friendly with each other. It's a great chance to establish excellent contacts and make friends for the future! Chances were given to bond with each other on an informal setting throughout.
A great deal. Numerous skills sessions conducted by professionals were provided.
The programme is structured in such a way that you won't have a minute to spare! Which I strongly believe what working full-time is like.
Being part of the firm for a week is the only way to understand its culture.
Valuable. You could judge for yourself what kind of person was working across the business and make your judgement from there.
Everything Else
Based within the M 25 belt so no need for expenses to be covered. For those that weren't, expenses were covered.
Networking events constantly running thoughout the week
People were very open to chat and answer any questions
The firm really promotes a healthy work-life balance and I was told on numerous occasions that this is appreciated by the business
