About You
The insight was probably one of the best times of my life without exaggerating. It was finally my very first look into the banking world and gave me a lot of understanding of the differences between the academic and professional side of Finance.
Even though I was just a Spring Intern, I felt like an MD at JP Morgan because every time everyone took the time to answer any of my questions, show me what they were doing. Any problem I had was quickly solved by the graduate recruitment team and I never had to wait or be inactive.
The only slightly negative side was that no schedule was given before the program so it was hard to prepare before actually arriving there, but apart from that any of my problems was quickly solved and information was given out on time.
The information I received was absolutely crucial in making both my future career decisions and my course choice.
The Company
I loved the fact that the insight started by presentations and networking in order to make sure that everyone knew exactly how the firm worked before putting us on the trading floor.
I loved it, there was a healthy competition and I also made a lot of friends both with some employees and with other interns.
Not only money, but a lot of time was invested in our training by having both juniors and seniors constantly present to help and teach us.
Of course, the time was little short to get a comprehensive idea, but the two rotations helped me understand a lot in terms of general feeling and culture of JP Morgan.
As said in the previous comment, that is the thing I most understood by being there, it really is a fun culture I feel very adapted to.
I have made a decision on my career path thanks to this Insight
Everything Else
I only had to buy one dinner.
Every day had at least one networking event if not two.
They were relaxed and in beautiful settings. The people present were really helpful and ready to socialise.
The building provides basically anything one could need, plus employees often go have a few drinks in the area after work.
Absolutely yes
