  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The insight week was highly enjoyable because it provided the opportunity to work in such prestigious organisation and work with incredible people.

    • The firm made a real effort to stress that it was a real achievement to get onto the program, and that they wanted us to be there.

    • The HR team did a fantastic job at answering all questions and solving any problems. Also, the Barclays app was extremely helpful in providing most information.

    • The information about the different role within extremely helpful and helped me to clarify which area I think I will be most suited. Helpful for applying to summer internships.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The week was well balanced between educational talks, interactive sessions, group presentations, networking and shadowing.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • The week was fully packed so that we got the most exposure to the different areas within the Front Office. This was good, although very intense.

    • Considering that we were only there a week, I felt that the firm invested a large pool of their resources into us.

    • The culture of Barclays was emphasised as 'friendly', and this came across when I spoke to many of the employees. However, I think (as with any firm), it is dependent on specific teams.

    • We were paid £250 for the week.
