About You
Thoroughly enjoyed it! Learnt so much and met plenty of new people.
I was made very comfortable, the HR team answered all of my questions and when it came to meeting current employees they were especially helpful.
A great deal! all of my worries/ debates were put at rest and i felt that if i ever had a question it would be answered by the most experienced people for that field.
Not so much to my degree studies since they aren't very related. However going on extremely valuable in terms of career paths.
The Company
It was all planned by a schedule and very clear where you had to be in terms of time and place.
Very comforting. You were made to feel very welcome by the team as well as at any networking events. Everyone I met were very warming and felt concerned with me and anything i had to say which was great!
A substantial amount. Activities and programmes were set up to assist with training along side being able to shadow experts and professionals which in terms of development was extremely valuable.
The activities were intense, some however more than others. The days shadowing were great and gave us the chance to see what the job role entailed of which helped us to gain an insight in to what a job would feel like there.
A lot of time was spent with current employees and therefore gave us a great chance to ask and learn about what it was like working at BAML and in their job role in particular.
Extremely valuable. We had the chance to look in to all of the sectors of the bank and learn about all of them and therefore was great to weigh them up against each other and see what appealed to me the most.
Everything Else
Plenty of opportunities. During the day whether it be at lunch, breakfast or at a networking dinner during the whole week we had continuous opportunities to network with a range of staff at the company.
Great fun! We had breakfasts and dinner events where some where very casual and some were quite formal. The range of events made it particularly enjoyable and helped mix things up for us.
Yes! We had a talk specifically on activities outside of work which was great to hear and see that BAML isn't only about work and does like their employers to have a well balanced life outside of work.
I'd recommend the insight to anyone interested in Banking or looking to find out more about the types of jobs and roles on offer. We were all treated with care and given all the support we needed and was definitely a week i found most enjoyable and one i took plenty away from!
