About You
It was a great experience. I got to meet lots of very talented students from all over the world, made friends with many of them, had a chance to explore what JP Morgan does and what Operations is about. It was fantastic.
They truly cared about us and they showed it. For instance, they spent a lot of money on our accommodation and food. The hotel was amazing, with buffet breakfast, a gym, and right in front of the sea. In a more professional aspect, so many JP Morgan employees got involved in our programme through networking sessions, assessment of our group projects, shadowing and final interviews. Everything was planned to perfection and you could see they really put a lot of effort into it.
They were always there for anything we needed.
I don't think I'll use them in my degree, but with respect to future employability it was truly useful. Networking, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, presenting... And many more transferable skills. Also, knowing how an investment bank like JP Morgan functions is really useful to develop a career in the sector.
The Company
Everything was planned really well and we never had any issues. They really thought and took care of every little detail.
All the students and employees I met were very nice. Everybody was willing to help, talk about themselves or give advice. The company felt like a good lace to work at, and the atmosphere within the interns was fantastic.
Everybody we talked to was extremely helpful. Nobody said no if we asked for help, advice, or if we could get in touch with them later on for future questions. That really talks about how people are in JP Morgan, considering how difficult it is to be hired by them.
Everything Else
We had many networking sessions, at least 3 or 4 throughout a 5-day week. In all of them a good number of employees were present so that we could talk to peolpe who have different roles and levels of experience.
It was a truly fantastic experience. I wasn't expecting to have such a good time and learn so much but I really feel that I made the most of it and that the opportunity they offer is brilliant for anyone considering a career in Investment Banking.
