    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Discover EY was a very enjoyable 2 days which gave a real insight into EY as a firm, as well the tax and assurance sectors more specifically. Everybody at the firm was incredibly warm, kind and welcoming and gave a lot of valuable advice and information about their time at the firm.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • As said above, everybody was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We had talks from many employees who all seemed keen to meet us and as though they would like to eventually work with us at the firm. We also had a networking lunch and dinner with such friendly employees, who were as keen to find out about us as people as they were to provide us with information and answer our questions.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The organisers of the insight were always on hand to support/answer any questions and the entire event was very slickly organised. We always knew where we should be and what we should be doing. Any problems we had were dealt with immediately, with support and kindness.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • We took part in a client exercise which provided us with a valuable insight into the skills needed for a career in the tax/assurance sector. All the employees (from graduates to partners) were keen to share their ideas of what makes a successful employee and what we could do to ensure our skills match what EY is looking for.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Excellent.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • As already said, we were provided with the opportunity to chat to many employees at EY about their current roles, how happy they were and what was involved in working at the firm. We were given an insight into the every day life of people across many jobs and roles, from graduate to partner.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Company culture was spoken about a lot throughout the 2 days, and it seemed to be an element that employees wanted to stress. They all said how lovely every single person they worked with is, and how much they enjoy EY as a company. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and everybody is helpful.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I am now looking to do a placement year with EY, as I liked the firm and its culture to such an extent. After a placement year I would hope to enter a career at EY, so the programme was extremely helpful in helping me to decide what to do and where I would like to do it. It also gave insights into other areas of the firm.
