About You
Really enjoyed the insight, had the opportunity to network with lots of trainees and other employees, as well as other participants.
Emphasized that EY place a great deal of value on graduate recruitment, and I was treated very well as a result.
Fully supported during the insight, so always knew what I was meant to be doing.
The insight was not of particular relevance to my degree subject, but will be useful nonetheless in helping me make career decisions in the future.
The Company
Very well structured, always knew what we should be doing and when, with plenty of breaks included.
Very friendly atmosphere with everybody being very engaged.
Although the placement was not paid, many employees took time out of heir jobs to assist with the insight.
Did not get to tour the office, but many employees from a number of departments, giving me a good feel for the culture of the company.
Gained a much deeper understanding of the company culture, resulting in the impression that it is very friendly and places high value on the graduates that it recruits.
Had not previously thought about a career in Audit or Tax very seriously, but came away feeling that I may be interested in pursuing a career in Tax.
Everything Else
Up to £100 of travel expenses covered, as well as all meals and snacks being provided over the two days, plus accommodation paid for as I lived more than two hours away.
Many networking sessions with members of the firm from a variety of departments who were at a variety of different stages in their careers.
These opportunities were very enjoyable and did not feel forced or awkward, but were instead relaxed, open and informative.
Heard briefly about opportunities outside of work including expeditions and sports teams.
I would definitely recommend this insight as it was well organised and reimbursed and made me seriously consider a career with this firm as a result.
