  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Really enjoyed the insight, had the opportunity to network with lots of trainees and other employees, as well as other participants.

  • Emphasized that EY place a great deal of value on graduate recruitment, and I was treated very well as a result.

  • Fully supported during the insight, so always knew what I was meant to be doing.

  • The insight was not of particular relevance to my degree subject, but will be useful nonetheless in helping me make career decisions in the future.

  • Very well structured, always knew what we should be doing and when, with plenty of breaks included.

  • Very friendly atmosphere with everybody being very engaged.

  • Although the placement was not paid, many employees took time out of heir jobs to assist with the insight.

  • Did not get to tour the office,but many employees from a number of departments, giving me a good feel for the culture of the company.

  • Gained a much deeper understanding of the company culture, resulting in the impression that it is very friendly and places high value on the graduates that it recruits.

  • Had not previously thought about a career in Audit or Tax very seriously, but came away feeling that I may be interested in pursuing a career in Tax.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Up to £100 of travel expenses covered, as well as all meals and snacks being provided over the two days, plus accommodation paid for as I lived more than two hours away.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Many networking sessions with members of the firm from a variety of departments who were at a variety of different stages in their careers.

  • These opportunities were very enjoyable and did not feel forced or awkward, but were instead relaxed, open and informative.

  • Heard briefly about opportunities outside of work including expeditions and sports teams.

  • I would definitely recommend this insight as it was well organised and reimbursed and made me seriously consider a career with this firm as a result.
