The Role
I very much enjoyed my placement at Toyota GB. The working environment is fantastic, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The job role was varied and interesting, and I was given more responsibility throughout the year. I was also encouraged to learn about other areas of the business - which was a great development opportunity for me.
Throughout the business, everyone is friendly and happy to help. My team/department is great, everyone gets on and supports each other when needed.
I have regular 121s with my manager, and weekly team meetings to discuss priorities. I feel the support and guidance I have been given has been very good.
There is never nothing to do. As the year has gone on I have been given more responsibilities and jobs keeping me busy.
I feel that I have been given a large amount of responsibility throughout my placement year. The job role impacts the everyday running of Toyota GB and the work I produce is requested by top management/directors.
Having created a Personal Development Plan, along with receiving a large amount of training, such as Presentation Courses, Plan Do Check Act Training and Excel training, I feel I was able to develop on a huge amount of skills throughout the year.
The Company
The atmosphere within the company has been great. There is always something going on, such as Bake Offs and team away days.
The placement has been well organised, with good inductions and handovers for all students.
Toyota GB invest in the students a lot into the students, will all the inductions and training offered,
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The Graduates are selected from the Placement students, so the opportunity of a job at Toyota GB is very good.
The Culture
There is always an event going on through the Sports and Social Club, such as Quiz Nights, Ice Skating, and Race days at Epsom Race Course for example.
Housing in Epsom is fairly expensive, however socialising in Epsom is good - there are many restaurants to choose from, that are well priced.
There are two clubs in Epsom, and a few pubs. You are also very close to London, which is good.
There are many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work - such as the Sports and Social events, as well as sports events, such as bike rides, sports day and rounder's matches.
