About You
I truly enjoyed the insight for it was the perfect balance between hard knowledge and case studies, and the networking events that enabled me to learn through people's experiences.
I really felt valued by seeing how many BAML employees, from junior to senior positions, were involved in this programme, truly dedicated in making us feel welcome and in sharing their experience. I had other Spring programmes where a lot of the activities were outsourced, and this made me feel less valued than at BAML. The people made themselves totally available, giving me their contact details to follow up even after the networking events. When I contacted them, I always got answers very quickly with great advice, which truly made me feel valued.
There was always someone available to answer my questions and guide me through the day. The HRs never left anyone without a clear instruction about what they had to do, and they always very kindly made everything for the day to go perfectly.
The people I met and the things I learned truly helped me clarify what I want to do. After this week I was convinced that I wanted to start my career in IBD M&A, thanks to the people at BAML that advised me in a way that would match my personality and my aspirations.
The Company
The structure was very clear and the flow of the activities very smooth. No unnecessary waiting time, very well and intelligently organized and put together in order to help us learn as much as possible, very gradually. We had two days that were completely dedicated to the business lines that we had chosen, which was really well done. These two days were really useful to help me take my decision about what I preferred.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. I feared that the atmosphere in such programmes would be very competitive. But it was absolutely not the case. I actually made some friends during this week! The HRs really participated in creating such a pleasant atmosphere.
I felt that the firm invested a lot in this week.
I felt that talking with people really helped me understand what the job is about. However I think it was a bit biased in order to make us want to do it. The negative aspects weren't really developed.
That is one of the things I learned the most. I could actually compare between a few insight weeks, and I felt that BAML really succeeded in making me understand its culture, mostly thanks to the number and variety of people that we could meet.
Very valuable.
Everything Else
There were a lot of opportunities, much more than anywhere else. And on top of that, we didn't feel like we were assessed each time we met people, which truly enabled me to ask the questions I wanted to ask.
The quality of the events was outstanding!
Yes we had half a day dedicated to show us the societies and volunteering opportunities that the firm offers.
I would recommend it without hesitating.
