  • 3/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • At the beginning of the week we had training in business etiquette, networking and making the most of the week. All in all, sourcing senior people to communicate was them investing time from their busy schedules into us.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Gave us insight into what it would be like to get a summer internship which was the main role and from this a full time role. With business reps informing you what they do on a day-to-day basis you would also understand what it would be like having a full time role.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Culture is one thing about Barclays that if you didn't really understand it before you would definitely understand it after. EVERY employee stressed about the culture of the bank and being there, you would really understand how important this is to them.

    3/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Extreme content given, went into detail about different divisions of the bank to give you more of an idea where you could potentially fit.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Plenty of networking opportunities with all levels from analysts to MD's and COO's all week.

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Great. There was a networking evening with drinks and food which was a nice way to get to talk to several people from all areas of the business. Also several networking opportunities throughout the week during sessions and within sessions also.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • This was something you can only find out if you actively asked the question when networking. Throughout the insight there was no detail of what employees do, or about the employee network groups they have, although through the website I know they exist.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely
