  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed the insight. Although it was intensive, I got to learn a lot about Barclays, its businesses and its people. An invaluable opportunity.

    • I felt very valued during the insight. The HR and business representatives are very willing to talk to me and answer me my questions.

    • This spring week is very informative because I get to gain a holistic understanding about the divisions within Barclays and their each job scopes.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured. However for those who are sure that they want to do banking or markets, they may still have to spend time on the divisions they are not interested in.

    • The atmosphere was fantastic. Barclays people are really friendly. The fellow spring interns are also great!

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The presentations and trainings are very helpful. The one on presentation/debating skills was especially useful for us to prepare for the debate at the end.

    • The insight week has given me a great view of a full time role at Barclays through the work shadowing opportunity.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • 250 pounds of reimbursement for the whole programme. Barclays will also reimburse the to and fro travel expenses.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There were speed networking session and networking reception. Plenty of opportunity to meet biz reps. Everyone also has a buddy. Many biz reps are willing to go on coffee chat with you if u ask.

    • Plenty of social and networking opportunities. Very good chance to meet your future colleagues.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • This can be found out by talking to different business representatives. But this really depends in the divisions that the business representatives are working in. Very busy divisions may not have much for the activities available outside work.

    • I'll definitely recommend this insight to my friend because this is an invaluable opportunity to learn about Barclays, financial knowledge and make very good friends.
