Insight Review

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the insight week. I was really impressed with the variety of activities that were organised throughout the week such as that of informative speeches, group presentations, group tasks etc. I learnt a lot and met many interesting people who were keen to share their experience at JP Morgan with me.

JP Morgan cared very much for all of the interns throughout the programme.

Any query I had was dealt with immediately and there was always someone that I could ask questions to. Additionally, the networking opportunities allowed me to gain the necessary support and guidance I needed when having queries about the world of finance and in particular how banking works at JP Morgan.

The skills I learnt throughout the week were extremely valuable and will assist me throughout the rest of my career. I was able to build on my communication skills, leadership skills, teamwork skills and many more. One aspect I particularly feel was beneficial was that of the group presentation where I was able to reach out of my comfort zone and had the opportunity to present to a senior panel.

The insight was extremely fun and I enjoyed every minute of it! JP Morgan employees as well as my peers were all enthusiastic throughout the week and ensured that every task carried out was carried out in a fun and interactive way. All activities planned were well structured and extremely interactive.

There were plenty of opportunities in which I was able to ask questions to employees at JP Morgan. Being able to talk to my buddy whilst work shadowing and also having a panel of Analysts available to answer my questions really helped to give me an insight on what it is like working at JP Morgan and how the transition works from university to the world of work.

The content was extremely valuable as I was able to fully gain an insight into the world of Operations and understand what it is like to work at such a highly regarded firm such as JP Morgan. All of the content was useful in providing me with useful knowledge and helping me decide on whether the finance industry is something that I would like to go into in the future.

Throughout the week there were plenty of opportunities to meet other employees at JP Morgan. There were networking events in which we were able to ask any questions we had to a variety of employees as well as our work shadowing with our buddy in which we were able to spend a valuable 1.5 hours with an Analyst. The Analyst panel was also very helpful in providing useful insights into work at JP Morgan.

Fantastic! I loved how the networking events were informal and laid back, but also very informative. Having a nice chat with fellow employees allowed me to fully gain some valuable experience and knowledge but also by being able to feel relaxed and in a calm environment, making the employees easier to approach and ask questions to.

I managed to speak to my buddy who I work shadowed who briefly spoke me through the different societies that JP Morgan have and the various events they hold in the society and what opportunities there are to get involved in outside of work. The Green Team also managed to give us an insight in to this.

Definitely! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole week and it was an extremely valuable experience. Having such interactive activities made the week more fun and I would definitely recommend it. My highlight would probably be the Agile Game we played as a team as it challenged our ability to work as a team as well as gain an insight into such an idea.
