About You
Very much enjoyed the experience it was an insight of the company and what they do. I felt treated as an employee and not just a student coming for work experience and everyone was very friendly. There was always something to learn about the company which it gave me motivation and wanting to go back again.
I did felt valued even though some technical situations were hard to understand but with simple challenges made us get involved. Knowing that we were there for a short period made me want to gain more information which the company was able to assist on.
I receive a lot of guidance and help in how to try and make decisions about the course of career I wanted to look into and reach to. Also knowing that we had a timetable telling us what we were going to do each day was useful as it was a good way to prepare myself for certain days such as trip days.
I was able to apply knowledge and skills that I learnt in the insight week within my course. It was a helpful experience as I now know better of the process of my course an how to achieve excellence.
The Company
As said before there was a timetable to help me know what we were going to do, however, it would have been nice to know what projects we were going to look at before hand. But the projects were well explained and questions were answered.
There was a fantastic atmosphere were everyone was very friendly it felt like everybody already knew each other. It was very informal which made me feel comfortable and there was many laughter's and enjoyment throughout the days.
There was some sort of development were presentations helped us gain an understanding of how projects are made and within the company how everything connects to one another.
Many questions were answered and help me understand how to get involved if I wanted to be part of the company. Graduates that started working in the company gave us an insight on how they started and how it would be like as a full time job. This was helpful as we understood the same foot steps that we will make in the future through their experience.
Very well because it showed us that apart from work they had activities were many people within the company were involve or can get involve. Also their principles about construction showed how they get involve with the society through their projects.
It was valuable as it made me think more and give more importance on where I would want to see myself in the future.
Everything Else
Not paid but food and travelling expenses were included.
Yes of course, the company showed us with who they had connections with and we met many employees as well as the bosses of the employees.
They were very good, the company had good ideas were there was more opportunities to meet new people through social events.
Yes, such as Friday night out to socialize or volunteering activities.
Definitely would recommend a friend who is interested with a career objective for construction.
