The Role
Really good atmosphere and an interesting market to work in
Worked in a relatively small business unit, in constant contact with managers and colleagues
Everyone was more than willing to help and provide advice. Made some really good contacts
Varied quite a bit, sometimes a bit quiet and sometimes absolutely manic
As much as i demonstrated i could deal with. Always given the opportunity to take on more responsibility. Allowed to present at european and global meetings and partake in long term strat meetings etc
Changed my behaviour as a person not just a student. More care in work, what I say and to whom. Improved communication, IT skills, confidence etc
The Company
Not too many students about however really good atmosphere and good people
Not a scheme as such, was first in my role so able to mould the role
Always open to furthering my development, recognise placement as a future investment
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Size and scope of the company means opportunities are endless
The Culture
Still went out with the people in the office and played football weekly
Its not a cheap area of the country but not too bad with reading nearby a student town
Reading and windsor were pretty good; close to london too
A few charity events, nothing mega
