The Role
It was an excellent scheme from start to finish. Very friendly staff and well organised HR department.
People gave good feedback and found tasks which I could really contribute towards.
This varied in the different departments, generally there is a very supportive atmosphere in the office though so if it wasn't directly from your supervisor there was definitely support from other people in the firm. I never felt out of my depth or at a loss as to what to do.
Had enough to do to keep me in the office but didn't have to stay late and was encouraged to make the most of the social side of the placement.
Some task were left to me, however, it was difficult to get really involved as much of the work was very complex. Certain easier tasks were, however, left entirely up to me which was a good experience.
Very useful insight into the world of large commercial firms. Has played a great role in stimulating thoughts as to my career path and has aided decisions as to which modules to take in my final year.
The Company
Fun office atmosphere among trainees and more senior lawyers. The office socials and Friday drinks trolleys were good fun.
Very well organised with events nicely spread out over the three weeks.
I felt that the firm really tried to give us a broad experience of life as an employee and put on a good selection of talks to teach us more about its major practice areas.

The Culture
Most nights people would be up for a drink after work and a number of us have kept in touch afterwards.
It was as pricey as you would expect for a firm in the City.
Good night life in the area, short walk from Shoreditch High Street and Brick Lane and tubes to anywhere else in central London.
Plenty of sports opportunities available and a number of volunteering opportunities.
