The Role
very enjoyable, a lot of arranged social events aswell
very easy to integrate into the team
If help was needed, they would spend a lot of time explaining the problem
with the internshi being in the middle of the summer, when markets are ususally very quiet (especially in DCM), workload would be less intense toward the beginning of the week
was writing market updates which I was sending out directly to clients, and producing slides which would be used in pitch books for clients
very useful training programme
The Company
can be quite quiet at times, b ut generally good chat
very good, but a large pre-determined project at the beginnign of each rotation would be helpful
a lot - had a week long training course with an external training firm, aswell as some other training eg presentations and public speaking
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
with there only being a few interns, the social scene isnt as good as it would be at a larger bank, but you do get to know everyone better
While the cost of beers is very much average (for london), the accomodation is very expensive
London has a pretty much infinite number of clubs and bars
there are many activities to get involved with, but the weekends are too short!
