The Role
I have had a positive experience and I enjoyed the job.
Within my own team I felt valued but outside of this I wasn't presented with any opportunities to meet other people inside the department.
Support and guidance was certainly not forthcoming but when I pushed for it, it was provided thoroughly.
I was certainly never too busy. Almost half the time I felt I was not busy enough, but this wasn't anyone's fault, just a function of market conditions.
I was asked to present my findings to the whole department on one occasion, and I was also given responsibility for changing some important assumptions in a model.
It won't help me very much for my degree, but it will assist me enormously in developing my career in the short term.
The Company
I wouldn't expect the office to be full of jokers so this is a pretty pointless question. The people were all very pleasant.
Everything went perfectly until the final week, but overall I was impressed.
A lot of training was given, and much was useful, although I would question the relevance of some of it.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I would be very happy to accept a job offer if I receive one.
The Culture
I have made good friendships with my fellow interns and the social scene was very good.
Very expensive! But who cares?
Didn't see much of it though
There were several opportunities arranged for us by HR and I made my own contacts too.
