About You
It was very enjoyable. Full of different talks, activities and case studies. Really useful to practice assessment centre skills and interviews.
I felt very valued. They put us up in a very nice hotel in the city centre with all the comforts (spa, breakfast, double bed) and paid taxis for us to get to the office every day. They were very accommodating and there was always plenty of food and drinks. The networking dinner was also extremely nice and a great opportunity to network.
We received a lot of support and giudance thanks to the different talks and activities that we had with representatives from all the divisions. They were all happy to answer any questions and talk about their job.
Not useful in my degree studies but definitely very useful in my career at Deloitte and beyond. We had many opportunities to practice case studies and mock interviews with representatives from all the divisions and peers. Great opportunities to network as well.
The Company
The insight was very well structured with a very specific schedule and specific activities. It was very intense due to the programme being condensed in two days only.
The atmosphere was great. Everyone was very friendly and smart. I wish we had a bit more time to get to know each other and go out as interns but this was impossible as the programme was only two days long.
They definitely invested a lot in us. There was a talk about emotional intelligence that was very informative and fun.
There wasn't any sort of work shadowing and we didn't even see the actual offices as all the activities were in the clients suite (which is on a different floor with stunning views just for meetings with clients). We had case studies for every division, though, so we kinda got an idea of what it would be like to work for Deloitte.
Not that much because obviously the insight was only 2 days long and we didn't get to see the actual office. The vibe that I got, however, was very positive. Everyone seemed to be very happy to work for Deloitte and thought it was an amazing company to work for.
Very valuable. We had a case study for every division that was showcased at the event and we had a chance to ask questions to representatives from all the divisions. Very useful in deciding what career path to take within Deloitte.
Everything Else
Yes. Really nice hotel and taxis to the office paid by Deloitte. Reimbursement for travel expenses was up to £50. It could have been a bit more as many people took planes to get there.
We had quite a few networking opportunities, in particular the dinner at the end of the first day. I feel like there could have been a bit more employees there, but obviously that wasn't possible as it was a fairly small office.
Great! Dinner was delicious and the representatives were very friendly and talkative. They really gave us a lot of insight into the division and the firm. It was unfortunate that we only got one representative per table so we could only discuss about one division.
Not really as we didn't have time to cover that. But it is all pretty much self explanatory. There's a lot of benefits, sport clubs and societies to join.
Absolutely! It's an amazing opportunity to discover a great career path within one of the leading firms in the world and you even get to fast track for a place on the summer vacation scheme.
