    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was lucky in that I networked a lot and therefore met a lot of other interns though extra activities. However If you're not based in one of the main offices, the opportunities to network aren't great.

  • Very cheap area to rent and live (Farnborough) however social scene wasn't great (but I guess that made it even cheaper!)

  • Virtually no nightlife in Farnborough, however this is different if you are based in Hursley/Southbank.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Lots of opportunities available!! I got involved with a range of foundation run activities such as a hackathon, an IBM website and an IoT challenge.
