I felt highly valued during the scheme. Employees of all levels took time out to speak to me and ensure I was enjoying the experience.
Guidance was excellent. My supervisor made time for me even when extremely busy. I spoke to numerous people across the office.
The communication, presentation and professional skills I learnt on the scheme will undoubtedly assist me in my working life and beyond.
The Company
The scheme was highly structured. I knew what I was doing, when I was doing it and where it would be done at all times. The iPads with timetables were very useful.
The general atmosphere was exciting and fast-paced. I was able to sit in on some high value transactions and witnessed phenomenal efficiency in meeting deadlines.

Greatly. Sitting with a newly qualified solicitor was perhaps the most realistic and insightful arrangement I could hope for. Furthermore, I had several very honest and frank conversations which opened my eyes to what a full time role at Allen & Overy would be like.
I feel as though I have a good understanding of Allen & Overy's culture. Spending time with various employees at various levels of seniority was highly beneficial.
Very valuable. The scheme ensured that I will be making a fully informed decision when I start my Training Contract.
Everything Else
I was paid adequately.
There were as many opportunities as I had time for to meet other employees in the company. The employees in the office were happy to help me arrange meetings with whoever I wished to meet.
The social events were good, they provided networking opportunities with trainees which was useful.
