The Role
Did not enjoy it at all. Wish I had gone somewhere else.
I felt like a punch-bag at times. Always got spoken to like crap. Colleagues in our MAchester offices were really nice and saupportive but hardly ever worked up there.
I recieved basic training down in London, that was all.
It ranged each day. Some days the phone wouldn't stop and other times I would struggle to find things to do.
I was given basic responsibilities and even then there were times I would not be allowed to do my duties.
I know I can answer a telephone properly...that's pretty much it.
The Company
It would depend if my manager was in. She was a 'kill-joy'. If she wasn't in we'd have a laugh and I'd find that I had done more work.
It wasn't so much a placement as it was a full on, full-time job. For me it was meant to be a learning experience but I think my manager was simply looking for an exact replacement to the last Resourcer she had.
Although they paid me £1000 a month (before tax) all they provided me with was basic training down in London for one day.
I know for certain what I definately don't want to do in the future
The Culture
There was one other student there. We played football every Wednesday but that was about it.
I live in Liverpool and that was were my placement was based so I could manage quite easily.
I love the Liverpool nightlife.
The only activity outside of work was a few lads form the office going to play football every Wednesday.
