The Role
Was great, really enjoyed the work and made some lasting friends with my colleagues.
Loads, I got on really well with them including the managers. The work I was doing was useful and relevant so I think I was well respected.
Loads at the beginning, this reduced over time but I was never left stranded! Any questions were answered willingly by my colleagues.
Usually pretty busy, I was never too busy but now and then ran out of work.
A fair amount. Some of the presentations I gave were important in upholding client relations so I felt pretty important.
Very much so. I learned lots of useful accountancy skills. However the main skills I developed were from just working in an office day to day as this was something I had never done before.
The Company
Pretty good, always had a laugh in the morning and people were always willing to chat, mainly about cricket though...
Extremely well. The company clearly had a plan for all the interns and I felt both me and the company got something out of the summer.
I received all the necessary training and was given access to software and attended a few courses.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
At the time I had a few summers left at uni and I decided not to come back the following year. However I probably would have had the option.
The Culture
Really good. We went out most weeks an and ate lunch together.
Very expensive being in London.
canary Wharf was always a good laugh!
A few socials (although these were pretty dull) and we had 2 intern meals over the summer. Other than that no not really.
