The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my year with Hays, I have picked up some invaluable experience and couldmt have wished for much more from my placement year. I would highly reccomend Hays to anybody who is looking for a rewarding and challenging year.
Extremely! From my first day with the business I felt like I was part of the team, everyone was very helpful and I quickly bonded with them. I was treated exactly the same as anyone else and I would like to think that you wouldnt be able to tell that I was the placement student if you came into the office.
The whole team that I worked with were brilliant. Nothing was too much and I wouldnt have made it through the year without them, when you start there is a huge amount to pick up but they were always on hand to help me whenever I needed it.
I always had more than enough work to complete, however due to the nature of the business there were some occasions where it was quiet. But that was an opportunity to focus on sourcing candidates or get any administration done.
I was given as much reponsibility as I wanted, I was treated exactky the same as everyone else and I was expected to work just as hard as everyone else to drive business forwards. I was responsible for ensuring that I hit targets set by my manager.
I think that my year with Hays has taught me many things, I have gained a valuable insight to the world of work and the people that drive those companies forwards. I feel that Hays have set me up for a successful final year of University and the experience I have gained will set me up for later life.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great, we were only a small office with 5/6 members of staff. This did have its downsides but on the whole it was fantastic, we are a very close knit group and the people I worked with made me look forward to work every day.
The placement year was very well organised as I was treated exactly the same as everyone else! I receieved the same training as everyone else at the sam etime as any other new starter.
Hays have invested a great deal into me. I was sent down to London (all expenses paid) for two nights for both of my training modules and I learnt something new every day! The training a rceieved was market leading and really helped me to succeed in the role.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I would be very interested in returning to Hays after I have finished University, they offer a clear career path and are a great company to work for!
