The Role
I enjoyed it very much as it was linked to what I want to be in the future and it gave me the skills that may help me with achieving it.
We had a good relationship. Had lots of fun joking around and giving ideas to each other
My managers were away most of the time, however I had a supervisor who was there every step of the way. It was easy to ask for help and guidance from him
My work did not consist of strict deadlines; however my managers always made sure I had something to do. They kept refilling me with work, week by week. Enough to keep me on my toes and not too much where I would be too stressed
I was given the same responsibility as a person who had my job before(not as a intern). Security wise I did most a lot my work on a different server to stop huge mistakes from being sent to customers
My placement assisted in developing skills that would be helpful in university and my career aspiration
The Company
Very good, There are busy days where the area is quite hectic but most of the time the office is very chilled.
Great! They have a internship programme for all the interns in the UK. My Placement itself was set up really well. I had lots of work they wanted me to do when i came in
They invested a lot! They had an internship development programme where you were spent to different activities during the day. The travel to the location itself can cost up to £200 that they will pay for. They trained is in team building, presentations skills and gave us a gala. More online training involved such as security measure and health and safety
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
They look good! They have a graduate scheme programme that I may consider after university. In terms of getting hired, I'm uncertain
The Culture
The Internship development programme helped introduce all interns from the UK. Plus my site had 6 interns that could easily contact each other
It was expensive!! But I lived in Poole. A retirement area. Everything was pretty expensive
I didnt really enjoy going out as much as i did in University. I guess that was good for work
Yes they have social events and sporting oppurtunities
