The Role
Fantastic Placement year with lots of opportunities to learn new skills and get involved in giveback outside your role.
I was very much part of the team, fully engaged in my work and respected by the whole team. I was treated like a full time employee.
Having 2 managers was beneficial. One purely managing tasks and the other pastoral issues and concern.
Mostly very busy, varied depending on Univeristy assignments and work load but the majority of the time there was something that needed doing.
A lot of responsibility, a lot of my role was also done by graduates and long-standing employees which made the work more valuable.
A lot of online training and various job specific training available. If you are not busy there is always something to educate yourself on.
The Company
Offices are quite old fashioned and depending on your location, places like Warwick are a lot quieter than Southbank.
Very well organised. There were progress reviews every 3 months that allowed for you to raise issues and speak to either managers. There was a large network of support.
A lot, there are opportunities to go to a lot of training across the country and better your skills and knowledge.

Working from home
Fairly high, we have the opportunity to apply back to graduate schemes earlier than external candidates with a higher chance of getting an offer.
The Culture
Yes there were 30 of us in Warwick, with a few living nearby so we all socialized relatively frequently.
Not too high, a lot less than London which was an advantage as I left the year with more spare income.
Not amazing, there were a few bars
Yes a few such as sports day and Warwick Castle visits.
