The Role
I had a great time, working in a fast paced environment. I was challenged everyday and had the chance to make my mark within my team, my opinion was always valued. The ability to work from home made my working life very flexible.
My opinion was always valued and I was entrusted with a fair bit of responsibility straight away.
They were always available to discuss any issues with, and to support and guide me.
Times I was quiet, however upon asking for more work the team would often support me and give me more to suit my requirements. At times I was very busy and rushed off my feet, but I enjoyed that.
I worked closely with the brand portfolio managers and was given a fair bit of responsibility, with my views always being taken seriously and respected.
I learned a wide range of skills, with a lot of education put on and a strong foundation support network ensuring I was always supported. Gave me the ability to see business in action which was very useful for my University work.
The Company
Monday and Friday very quiet as everyone worked from home, but there is a strong intern base within my office and this made it very enjoyable.
Brilliantly organised, everything was set up for me and the whole process was seamless.
They sent me on several days of education, experiencing everything from Agile Marketing days to seeing how our Events Agency operated.
Working from home
There is a strong link through to the graduate scheme, with 50% of people accepted to the grad scheme coming from the placement scheme.
The Culture
Very strong, 150+ interns solely in my office meant there was a lot going on.
Very expensive, £5 a pint is extravagant and my rent is £600 a month and I can't fit my wardrobe in my room. That's the South for you...
Very good, lots going on and central london is always buzzing.
Not so much, I know the girls took part in IBM netball however boys wise there was a lot less.
