The Role
There is a lot of opportunity to have a very enjoyable placement at IBM. The job role I was placed in didn't suit me as well, so it was not enjoyable at times, but there was plenty of options to go out and find better work.
Very valued by some, less so by others.
Management not so much, but my Early Professionals Manager (pastoral supervisor) was always supportive and available to help me
Depended on the time of year; sometimes very busy, sometimes not so much. There is always education/opportunities to take part in if you didn't have much on in your role.
I didn't get a lot of responsibility. I would have enjoyed it more if I had.
I have learned a lot on placement, they won't help in my degree but beyond they will be invaluable.
The Company
Depends who was around! Some members of the team were lots of fun, others took the atmosphere down. IBM is a remote working company so you can never predict who will be in the office.
Very well organised.
A lot. There are lots of options to improve yourself and your skills
Flexi Time
Working from home
I only want to apply to one role, but that is because of my preferences, not because I do not want to work for IBM again. I have applied at this stage and there is opportunity to be fast-tracked.
The Culture
Very good. One of my favourite aspects
Expensive. I lived at home so cannot comment on living.
Great. Its London.
Yes, but sometimes they were not advertised enough.
