The Role
I have enjoyed my placement very much and I would consider coming back to Hays in the future! It was really hard in the begining as I had a lot to learn but thats the reason why I wanted to join the company in the first place.
I really like my team and the office I am working in.
Everyone was always really helpfull. I ask a lot of questions whan I am not sure about something and they always have the patience to explain everything to me.
I could never be bored at this job, there is always something you have to do. Christmass is probably to quietest period but that just means you have time to prepare for the period when work starts picking up again, and you can concentrate on candidate work during Christmas.
Just as mch as anyone else. When I first started it took a while for me to learn everthing and understand the way the business works, but quite quickly I was getting more and more responsibilities. Right now my responsibilies are no different to other consultants.
The skills and knowledge I have gained during my internship will definitaley help me mw with my degree and future career. Sales, time management, communication, advertising, interviewing and listening are only a few of the skills which I have developed during my internship and all can be used and developed even further in the future.
The Company
In the office I have been working in the atmosphere was really great. Everyone is really friendly, we always try to motivate each other to do more work and whenever I had any questions or was struggling with a task, someone would help me out.
It was very organised. Contract, start dates, training, ets, where all set up in advance and planned before my internship started.
The company put absolutley loads of money into training. When I first started I was training in Manchester and London which the company paid for. The training was always fun and very rich in information. Even through out the year there are always some extra training sessions for everyone at Hays to keep on top of things.

After a year with Hays I would definitaley consider coming back after I have graduated. As an intern there are many benefits of working for the company but as a full time recruitment consultant there are even more opportunities.
The Culture
Everyone within our team is very sociable, we like to do go out for meals or do acctivities outside of work.
The office I am working in is in the same place where I go to University so the costs of living and socialisitng were pretty much the same as before.
Great! I already knew the area before I started my internship so I knew what to expect from the nightlife.
There was always something to do doutside of work. A lot of times we would organise out nights out after work, or go for meals or do different acctivities.
