About You
My insight week was very informative and interesting. During the week we were fully imersed into the company. It was a lot of fun meeting so many interesting people both fellow students and those at the company.
It was lovely to experience the warm and friendly working environment at the firm and this was extended to us.
There was a lot of guidance and a lot of opportunities to meet staff and talk to them. All the staff were very happy to help us and give us any information that we needed.
It was a very useful insight into the workings of the financial sector. It was also in helping to understand the sheer size of the regulator and how diverse the backgrounds of the staff there are. One of the most useful things about the week were the connections and the contacts made.
The Company
The week was very well structured with a clear itinerary. On the Monday we received lots of resources including an information pack with details of all the activities for the week as well as profiles of some of the senior staff and information about all the other girls in the programme. This was a useful way of identifying some of the things we had in common with other individuals in the group.
It was a really warm and positive atmosphere. Plenty of opportunities socialise and interact. I really enjoyed meeting the girls on the scheme and have kept in contact with a lot of them. The staff were also really lovely and always treated us as their equals.
